The name “Massaya” comes from the Philippine language and means joyful, happy, or cheerful. Each flavor reflects its personality: Panda (Pistachio) is soft green, calm, and natural; Bunny (Redberry) is playful and sweet in soft pink; and Cat (Karamila) is warm yellow, evoking curiosity and happiness. Before finalizing the design, 3D sketches were created to explore playful shapes and forms, ensuring the chocolates would look engaging, interactive, and appealing in real life.
The packaging design focuses on fun, color, and interactivity. Each chocolate has a unique shape and character, and the opening mechanism was made to create excitement and anticipation when revealing the chocolates. Illustrations of melting chocolate highlight indulgence and temptation, while the vibrant, playful colors and characters make the product collectible and memorable. The combination of personality, color, and playful design brings joy to children while reflecting Massaya’s core idea of happiness, positivity, and shared moments.
